Prophetess Running Brothel In Ogun Arrested

The Ogun State Police Command yesterday paraded some suspects recently arrested.

Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, at the command’s headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, said no fewer than 21 assorted guns, which included three AK 47 rifles, were recovered.








Among the suspects was a 54-year-old woman, Idowu Olupinla, the founder of a white garment, Adura migba Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ijoko, Ota.

The prophetess was paraded for allegedly running a prostitution ring, using teenagers.

Three of her victims confirmed that she used one of the rooms in her apartment as a brothel, where different men, including male members of the church slept with them.

The Commisioner said one Haruna Saidat aged 16 years and three others lodged complaints against the suspect for using them for prostitution and sending other young girls to neighbouring countries for the same purpose.

Also paraded was a member of a gang of robbers/kidnappers terrorising residents of Oyo, Lagos and Ogun states, Richard Abraham.

Iliyasu assured that all the suspects will be charged to court after investigations.

Pension: EFCC To Prosecute Defaulting Companies – PenCom

The National Pension Commission (PENCOM) is currently compiling list of companies and companies defaulting in remitting employees contributions to Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs).

The Commission also said it would involve the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other law enforcement agencies to prosecute defaulters.








Director-general of PENCOM, Mrs Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, who disclosed this in Lagos yesterday at a world press conference to announce the third edition of the World Pension Summit Africa which would be hosted by the agency in Abuja between September 27 and 28,said it is a criminal act for any one or bodies to collect employees’ fund for pension purpose and refuse to remit same to the relevant PFA.

The PENCOM boss said her agency’s current effort was designed to continually nurture transparency in pension administration in Nigeria.

“In its 12years of existence, PENCOM has painstakingly built a strong, transparent and dependable pension system in Nigeria, which is overseen by a dynamic and efficient regulatory structure. Its efficient regulation has enabled generation of pool of long-term funds in the region of N5.73trillion as at the end of June 2016,”she said.
She said of the 24 states that have embraced the employees scheme, only 10 had since commenced full implementation of same.

She added that her agency is desirous to ensure that all the states in the country as well as the self-employed in Nigeria embraced the scheme so that employees would have something to fall back on at retirement age.
On the summit theme: “Pension Innovations: The African Perspective,” the DG said the topic was chosen because her agency seeks to drive the revolutionary strides and achievements of African governments in the area of pensions and social benefits.

“PENCOM also seeks to galvanize not only the Nigerian pension system but also those of other African countries towards sustainability and socio- economic impact,” she added.

What Does Love Look Like To You?




We all know that emotions don’t have any physical form or shape or definitive meaning for that matter. They mean different things to different people on different occasions.

I think that part of finding your peace is to get comfortable with the understanding that you won’t always live-up to everyone else’s definition of whatever emotional need they’re currently experiencing because you’re human and you don’t have all the solutions. And you don’t need to. Re-read that last sentence and get comfortable with it, write it down if you like. YOU ARE ENOUGH.















People won’t always present you with the emotional responses you’re looking for. And that’s okay. Because whilst we all thrive when we receive the love and emotional care our souls yearn for; we do not allow our happiness to be totally dependent on something someone else may or may not give us. Maybe happiness, like love, is a gift we must give ourselves before anyone else can give them to us.

The people around us don’t know how much of sincerity we have but their hearts can always perceive the purity of our intentions. (Take a moment to appreciate the love that your loved ones have for you. Your kids, spouse, siblings may drive you mad but they love you in a way that no other human can).

We don’t question the sacrifices we make for our loved ones and maybe that’s because when we set aside our notions of love, for the ones we love, we begin to realise that often, our deepest feelings are the guides we’ve been searching for.

The mother who skips a meal so that her hungry child will have something to eat

The father who gives his jacket to his little girl even though it’s cold and he’ll get soaked in the rain

The wife who waits for her husband to get home so that they can share a meal together

The husband who might not remember to get her flowers and chocolates but will move mountains to be there for his wife when she needs him the most

The parents who relinquish their dreams so that their children can pursue theirs

The stranger who buys a homeless person a meal

The salesperson who works 10-hour shifts so that her child can get a good education

The toddler who will get a scolding from her mum/dad and even be reduced to tears, but will never ever think of loving her parents any less

Acts of pure love aren’t always celebrated by large crowds or captured by a photographer. The heroes and heroines of everyday life don’t see their names on billboards. Society doesn’t know them or acknowledge them. Whether we know it or not, we respect them because they don’t ask whether their sacrifices are logical or financially rewarding. Their actions answer the one question our souls ask us daily,
